Wait. You guys don’t know of classic sci fi that was written by women? Dude. URSULA K. LEGUIN, one of the most famous writers of her time and a contemporary and friend of Philip K. Dick, wrote several sci-fi classics, including THE LATHE OF HEAVEN and THE LEFT HAND OF DARKNESS. If you haven’t read THE LATHE OF HEAVEN, I highly recommend it.

Thanks for the recommendations. “The Lathe of Heaven” and the “The Left Hand of Darkness” both look to be extremely interesting studies into the human condition. I’m sure if we read “Darkness” there will be plenty of jokes about “Winter is Coming”!

Ursula K. LeGuin is a noted woman science fiction writer who is now in her 90s and has been working since the days of Philip K. Dick, who knew her.
